The Mall at Stonecrest

The Mall at Stonecrest is located east of Atlanta, GA near the intersection of I-20 and Turner Hill Road in Lithonia, GA. The 1,162,000 sf two-level enclosed mall is at the heart of a 1,000-acre master planned community consisting of office, residential, entertainment, hotels, a power center, and restaurants. It has both an enclosed area as well as an open-air element. The open-air part forms the center of the mall, with the mall taking on a crescent shape. The mall has five anchor stores and 321,000 SF of gross leaseable area that includes more 120 specialty retailers. Stonecrest Mall was the owner. Morgan Corp. was the contractor. Disputes arose concerning extra work, payments, defective & incomplete work and inefficiency claims. CRESG provided arbitration services to the owner and the contractor, and their attorneys. The result was a successful resolution of the various claims prior to the Evidentiary Hearing.
