Robert B. Rodgers, Jr., Senior Cost Consultant

Mr. Rodgers has over seventeen years experience encompassing all facets of the construction industry including construction management, claims analysis, estimating, material and equipment sales and mechanical contracting. He has been a Professional Cost Analyst since 1981 working in the construction management division of a large international architectural and engineering firm and for a professional estimating firm, as well as owner of a construction consulting firm.

Experience

Some of Mr. Rodgers' representative experience includes:

• Seven years as owner of a construction consulting firm with sole responsibility for management, marketing and services provided. These services included estimating, value engineering, claims analysis, project management and contract negotiation. Projects included hospitals, multi-use complexes, institutional buildings, government facilities, industrial facilities, water treatment plants and airports.

• Responsibility for coordination of the mechanical costing and construction claim work for a professional estimating firm. Negotiated the mechanical construction contracts for several large hospital projects on behalf of the owner.

• Two years as chief mechanical estimator for the construction management division of a large international architectural and engineering firm in Atlanta.

• Mr. Rodgers' healthcare facility experience includes cost estimating, claims analysis/ preparation and contract negotiation on over thirty hospital projects totaling over $950 million of construction since 1982. These projects include the $175 million Grady Memorial Hospital Expansion and Renovation in Atlanta, Georgia; the $90 million V.A. Hospital in Augusta, Georgia; the $25 million Humana East Orleans Women's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana; the $50 million Miami Heart Institute in Miami, Florida; and the $10 million Outpatient Surgical Addition at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mr. Rodgers is currently the lead cost estimator for the $27 million North Oaks Medical Center Expansion in Hammond, Louisiana.
